The Rarebird soccer team is on a hunting spree, taking down all the obstacles in their way. The varsity team is on a winning streak and are not giving in — already winning against Morris Jeff, Kenner Discovery, John Curtis, and Immaculate Conception School.
Audubon’s data manager, Ms. Carla said, “The soccer team is very impressive, and soccer is my sport.”
Along with her word, Audubon’s school community shows its gratitude and compassion to the teamwork and actions of the team.
When the game is in play, fans and team members alike go crazy. 7th grade player, McCoy M. yells, “That’s all ball – pipe down bench!”
Throughout the season, their coaches, Tom Trouve and John Harris, said they have worked hard to keep the team on the track for success.
Along with their on-field success, the team is seeing success in other areas of their lives, as well.
8th grade player Henry H. said the team’s winning streak has made other people think he’s cooler.
While 8th grader Sully T. said the difference between his soccer team friends and his regular friends is: “nothing at all; they are the same people.”
Over the season, the team’s efforts were evident. Even after being eliminated in the game against Dr. John Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, the team didn’t let that get them down.
8th grade player Alex H. said, “I love playing on the team and winning with my friends has made it all the more fun.”
