Audubon has been hosting the book fair for nearly five years. The book fair is a fundraiser to buy supplies and support the school. The book fair first started in 2022 serving grades 4-8 and selling books as well as erasers, pens, bookmarks, and posters.
6th grader Mei J. said, “I think that the book fair is unnecessary but a good way to get money for the school.”
Students are able to access the book fair before homeroom, during lunch and recess, and after dismissal.
“It’s a good book fair,” Estelle T. said.
Some students expressed that they feel they price certain materials unfairly, and they don’t restock certain items that students have expressed they wanted.
“The book fair is overpriced, and I feel like they only stock books meant for younger children,” Ellie B. said.
Others, however, have said that they enjoy that they supply things other than just books. Still, some say that the quality of the items other than books is bad.
